Teachers, please make sure all chromebooks and iPads are turned off and NOT left charging over the summer break. This is to preserve the battery life of the devices.
For Chromebooks:
To power off your Chromebook press the power button for about a second to lock your screen. Keep pressing the power button to completely shut down your Chromebook. If you’re on the main sign-in screen, you can click the Shut down button in the lower-right corner.
For iPads:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
If you have an iPad Cart or Chromebook Cart:
–Unplug the cart from power outlet first (We do not want the devices to charge over the summer, and the cart must be unplugged from the power outlet before plugging all devices into their individual chargers, or the devices might turn on by themselves after you turn them off)
-Place devices inside the cart with their cables plugged in.
– Lock the cart
If you do not have a cart, please lock away devices in a cabinet or somewhere where they are not visible or easy to find.
